The example APR
Payments on this site use an example APR of 14.9%. It’s an example, not an offer and not a promise of the rate you’ll get. FastLoan is not a lender. Lenders in our network set APRs based on your credit, income, existing debts, the amount, the term and your state, so the APR you’re offered may be higher or lower.
Loan availability, amounts, rates and terms vary by state and lender.

How the payment is calculated
Each example is a fixed-rate loan repaid in equal monthly payments. We divide the APR by 12 to get a monthly rate, then find the payment that covers each month’s interest on the remaining balance and pays the loan off exactly with the last payment.
The examples assume no origination fee, so the interest rate and the APR are the same. If a lender takes a fee from the loan, the payment stays the same but you receive less, so the APR is higher. For example, a $25,000 loan at a 14.9% interest rate over 36 months with a 5% fee has an APR of about 18.6%, and you receive $23,750. The payment calculator lets you add a fee.
Funding timing
Some lenders fund as soon as the next business day after you’re approved and sign. The clock starts when you sign, not when you send a request. Lenders send money by ACH or similar transfers that settle on business days, so weekends and Federal Reserve holidays add days, and your bank decides when the deposit is available. Some lenders take longer, and SBA loans take weeks.
Credit checks
FastLoan doesn’t check your credit, so sending a request doesn’t affect your credit score. Lenders may use a soft check to show offers, which doesn’t affect your score. If you apply with a lender, it will usually run a hard inquiry, which can. Read more in soft vs hard credit checks.
Not a lender
FastLoan is a matching service. We don’t make loans or credit decisions. When you send a request, we share your details with the lenders, loan brokers and marketing partners in our network, who may contact you, and we may be paid by them. See how FastLoan works.
